Dear Players and Parents, My name is Nick Mandia, and I coach for the LXTC/Denver Elite Program. Additionally, I am the Head Varsity Lacrosse Coach at Chatfield Senior High. Throughout the year, I offer 60 Min Individual/Small Group Lacrosse Training Sessions at Falcon Bluffs Middle School. Below, please review my brief bio, a general training session description, location and cost, along with registration and scheduling information.

BIO I grew up in southeastern, PA and played high school lacrosse, soccer and water polo at Souderton High School. During my undergraduate career at Eastern University (EU), located in Philadelphia, PA, I received All-Conference recognition in all three seasons, including a 1st team nod in my senior season. As a three time captain, I also set the record for career assists and points in my three seasons with the Eagles. I received a B.S. in Biokinetics: Exercise Science upon graduation in 2009. Additionally, I was able to serve as the assistant lacrosse director at United Sports Training Center, overseeing and instructing in their camps, clinics and tournaments while working with the Falcon Lacrosse Club. Following graduation, I served as an offensive assistant at EU during the 2010 season. I then spent my next two years working as a wilderness therapy guide in southwest Utah. While working with Second Nature Wilderness Programs, I oversaw the health, safety and therapeutic progress of youth and young adults through nature-based drug and behavioral rehabilitation.

In 2013, I was able to return to EU Men’s Lacrosse as a Graduate Assistant while I earned my teaching certification in K-12 Health and Physical Education. During the next three seasons, working as an assistant on the offensive side of the ball, the Eagles saw many program firsts, including three offensive All-Americans. While on staff, I was a significant contributor as Eastern continued their streak of conference championships, earned the school’s first top 20 ranking, and led the nation in extra man scoring (2014) on their way to three consecutive NCAA tournament appearances. In addition to my collegiate coaching, I have provided one on one lacrosse training for a number of athletes over the past ten years. I moved to CO in August of 2016 to coach lacrosse and pursue a career in physical education. Accompanying my work with the LXTC/Denver Elite Program, I am also the Varsity Head Lacrosse Coach at Chatfield Senior High, along with serving as a substitute teacher in Jeffco during the day. I currently reside in the Littleton area with my fiance and dog. TRAINING SESSION DESCRIPTION (60 mins/Individual or Small Group) By making use of my playing, coaching, mentoring and education background, I have been able to develop individualized training methods and drills that make sessions challenging and productive for players of all skill levels. My coaching philosophy is geared toward instilling an introspective work ethic and focus. An intentional and constructive coaching approach allows for lacrosse IQ development at a higher rate due to personalized, real time feedback, and can be expected throughout each session. By mentoring players to learn from each rep and make adjustments as they train, there is stronger skill development and retention. Drills and activities are predicated on high repetition, high intensity movements and tasks to promote muscle memory for the offensive skill set. Specifically personalized drills and rep sets can and will be implemented in the moment to provide pertinent and engaging learning experiences, further optimizing growth. Learning objectives within training sessions will include, but are not limited to: dodging tactics/angles and agility, shooting techniques and methods, stickwork and stick protection, and in game IQ development. My goal with each player that I train is to support progress toward becoming well-rounded, prepared, and dynamic lacrosse players that can fulfill leadership roles within a team setting.
